Dagály Thermal Bath Artistic Shading Structure
Corvin Art School x Lemezdesign

Through our collaboration with the Corvin Art School, we have helped bring numerous objects to life.
As an integral part of the curriculum, we help students gain insight into manufacturing technology.
Within the framework of this cooperation, we provide the art school’s students with an overview of fundamental sheet metal production technologies, the possibilities they offer, and the specific characteristics and limitations to consider during design. Through this guidance, we assist future designers in ensuring that their creations are not only beautiful but also economically manufacturable in line with market demands.

For a creator, the journey of bringing their work to life is of paramount importance. The pitfalls and successes of this learning process are all invaluable experiences. Therefore, beyond sharing theoretical knowledge, Lemezdesign Kft. and its parent company, Német-Magyar Lemezmegmunkáló Kft., provide an opportunity each year for a concept or competition entry—selected jointly with the instructors of the Corvin Art School—to be transformed into a prototype with the help of our accumulated expertise, our own manufacturing capacity, and the partners involved in the execution.

The Dagály Thermal Bath commissioned the Corvin Art School to have its students design shading structures that are modern in appearance yet harmonize with the environment. The professional jury of the art school and the experts at Lemezdesign jointly reviewed the entries and then guided the winning design all the way to realization.

Following the design and engineering phases, the parts produced through laser cutting and bending underwent surface preparation before being powder-coated in the selected color by our partner. To ensure durability, the roof panels were made from galvanized sheet metal, while the leg components received hot-dip galvanization prior to painting.
