Creating various holders, carriers, serving trays, and display objects is a regular, recurring task for the Lemezdesign team.
We have created an oil holder integrated with a “Reserved” sign for a pizzeria (inspired by the mosaic pattern of the pizza oven), a spice holder version equipped with a handle modified to meet the needs of Ham Master László Árpás, and recently, we delivered a gin holder designed for the Hernyák Estate, featuring curved elements adapted to their ornate bottles.
Our latest commission came from the Lunczer Pálinkaház.
From the very first moment, it was evident that our client possessed a very distinct vision and clean, elegant visual building blocks, which they already utilize in their visual communication.
This precisely defined brand image simultaneously narrowed our designer’s playground but also provided strong inspiration, as the existing elements distinctly marked out a direction to follow.
Since the product range is extensive, in consultation with our client, we deemed it practical to create an object that “frames” two glass bottles.
During the consultations, two product concepts began to take shape: a simple, easily transportable, stackable L-shaped version with a solid back panel—intended by the client for display at exhibitions—and a representative holder ‘playing’ with very graceful lines, designed to facilitate product presentation in the brand store and on partners’ counters.
Upon completing the prototypes for the two product versions, we presented them for consultation to our surface treatment partner, who suggested a “fine-textured” black finish that creates a very exciting effect.
Although the use of gold had not been considered up to this point, our partner also recommended trying a paint in which the reflective, sparkling elements are hidden in the deeper layers, creating only a restrained, elegant effect.
Based on his suggestion, we decided to request this surface treatment for the “line drawing” holder concept as well, in order to test the effect!
Before presenting the concepts/prototypes, we photographed the test pieces with sample bottles to demonstrate through the images how sunlight plays on the glass during use. We also proudly documented just how complex a visual experience can be achieved—beyond the primary function—with a carefully designed and executed holder, which we believe coexists worthily with the product it frames.
