On the ground-floor terrace of the house overlooking Lake Velence, the Eastern-inspired motif makes its appearance. This motif is also present in the interior spaces—as will be revealed in later content—in the form of illuminated inserts.
It is clearly visible that adapting the circular symmetric base pattern to the rectangular frames was not the only challenge. Switching from the horizontal orientation of the railing to the vertical orientation required for the corner element posed a fresh challenge during the pattern design process.
The base pattern fills the railing frames appearing as slices of varying heights (adapting to the wave symbolism present in the upstairs spaces).
The remaining spaces outside the central motif are decorated with shaped cutouts, sized according to the client’s wishes.
Thanks to the orientation, the thin, airy contours of the railing elements dazzle the residents and their guests with an intense, moving shadow play throughout almost the entire day.
