Lemezdesign x G-SOLAR – Large-Scale Outdoor Unit Enclosure
Based on our revamped website, we were commissioned to create an enclosure for the outdoor unit of an air conditioning system installed in the inner courtyard of a public institution as part of its modernization project.
Manufacturing a protective and decorative enclosure for such a large-scale object was a truly interesting challenge for us as well.
During the site visit, it became apparent that incorporating multiple openings, windows, or doors would be advantageous—or even necessary—to accommodate connecting pipelines and ensure access for maintenance.
Based on the dimensions and maintenance requirements, we prepared a structural concept draft. Once this was approved, we proceeded to design the unique pattern for the enclosure.
We selected pre-galvanized sheet metal as the base material, while the hollow sections underwent post-fabrication hot-dip galvanizing for durability. The decorative enclosure is protected against weather elements by a powder coating finish, with a color chosen to match the aesthetic of the surrounding building.
We requested our client’s presence during the final fine-tuning before handover to review the implemented solutions together and discuss any further insights or suggestions.
