The concept behind our object called “FOLD” was inspired by the atmosphere of Christmas preparations and the folding of colorful paper used for wrapping gifts.
The object has a multi-layered message: the painted, folded sheet metal surfaces fit together to create new shapes during assembly, which is great fun and a shared experience for family members.
It is also an exciting study that clearly shows how the creative mind can transform cold, rigid metal surfaces into something that feels like paper.
Our toy also comes with a metal insert that can be screwed into the bottom of the wood, saving us from the unpleasant experience of wood carving. Place the metal insert into the holder and secure the wood to the holder with additional screws.
